National Pinetum Bedgebury |
Just down the road from us you can enjoy a walk among this woodland managed by the Forestry Commission. Children enjoy the walks as there are plenty of interesting things for them to discover through the trails including a rope spiders net, a pirate ship, a butterfly climbing wall and the dragonfly. Bodiam Castle |
14th Century Bodiam castle is one of Britain’s most picturesque castles. Children will love the moat, portcullis, battlements and windows where arrows were shot . Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens |
This world famous garden is only 15 minutes away. Our favourite garden is the White Garden and from the tower you can enjoy amazing views of the Kent countryside. Surprisingly children love Sissinghurst as there are fun quizzes for all ages and during the holidays there may be a storyteller spinning folktales about ghosts. Lovely restaurant serving cream teas! This is a little further so set off early for a great day out with your children. It has to be one of the best small zoos with brilliant play areas. There are masses to do for all children and the younger ones will love Thomas the Tank Engine and the Hello Kitty Secret Garden. Go Wild is aimed at children 7 -12. |

Seaside |
Camber Sands is a lovely sandy beach about an hour away. If the tide is out it is beautiful early in the morning. Hastings has a pebble beach and further away is Botany Bay at Broadstairs. |
