Dogs and Walks

Tanner Farm Caravan and Camping Park offers a variety of beautiful, countryside walks which can be accessed directly from the campsite. You can follow footpaths around rural fields, up to the woods or down to the river or do a combination of all three. If you do the river walk look out for the kingfishers and if you are very lucky you might see a mink.

We have also created a number of walks for you to follow allowing you to explore local countryside, villages and pubs. These can be purchased for 20p from the shop.

Dogs and their owners have a great time at Tanner Farm Caravan Park as leading directly from the caravan and camping park are a network of footpaths which are perfect for walking your dog. A firm favourite is the river walk. We even have a dog wash. It is important to note that all dogs are required to be on leads on the park and we do not allow guests to leave their pets unattended on the pitch when they leave the park.

2.5 – 4 hours depending on whether you choose the short or long walk and how long you spend ion the pub!

Local Walks Kent 5 and 6 Walk 5 and 6 All The Way There and Back Again
This scenic walk is not suitable for children or the not so nimble! This walk has steep gradients, steps, stiles and wet patches.3-4 hours

  • Please keep to the path.
  • You have a legal right to walk a public footpath – these are marked with yellow arrows and tape, but not to wander over other people’s land without their permission.
  • Please keep dogs, children and yourselves out of crops.
  • Please do not pick wild flowers or take foliage from trees or bushes.
  • Please take your litter home with you.
  • It is illegal to ride bicycles on footpaths.
  • Please do not push down, break or cut fences.
  • Dogs must be kept under control at all times and on a lead in any wood.
